Motordyne MREV+ vs. MREV2

I have the MREV+ on my 05' 6mt. I really like the performance. I hear that the MREV2 gives you a little more performance in the higher rpm range. Was just wondering if anyone of you out there has upgraded from MREV+ to MREV2 ??? Also, if you did see any performance gains & how the car responded. Thanks

you dont need the mrev2 unless you have an 06+

wrong! MREV2 can be used on 05+.
I do not know the differences, you should contact motordyne and ask. I have the MREV2 layin around ready to install.

I believe it was Fini (or someone) that did an independant dyno of it several months ago.

Do a search on it. There are pre/post dynos of it.

Yes, it was Fini (David). As I recall, he was quite pleased with his results.

I have a 6mt 03 Coupe is there any point of me getting an MREV2 or MREV+?? Heard it wont make any difference.

I would definitely go with the MD plenum spacer for now. You can always add the MREV later, if so desired. It's a simple install.

I already got the isothermal 1/2 spacer and was just wondering if i should get the mrev2. But i heard that there will be no difference for an 03 engine.

Yes, the search function is a tremendous tool. It will even be better after the moderators sort through all of the threads and sort everything out to their respective places. You simply go to the forum of your query and drop down the "Search" function from there, type in your query and your findings will be much more definitive.

MREV2, but you will need a tune or ecu reflash to avoid running lean on a non-revup engine.

oh, so I'll just have to get the car retuned to avoid that from happening right???
....I wonder how much the dealership would run me???

Why would you take it to the dealership???

Just install it yourself; or atleast have an installer do it for you.

If you were refering to the retune, you'll need to get your ecu reflashed by technosquare or AAM. Either that, or go to UTEC route.

Regarding your tuning options, It all depends on whether you're sticking to NA or have FI in your future.
