Re: K&N Typhoon CAI and AeM bypass pic

K&N sounds GREAT.... Down low in RPM range not a whole lot of difference but when you pass 3000-3500 rpms she sounds like a lion's roar. And you really can feel her pulling you into your seat from 30mph all the way to 100mph. My father-in-law "who is a cop" really noticed a difference in the sound and said "waht are you trying to sound like those guys who cruz Speedway Blvd?" and he really only hears me come up his driveway. This just from the CAI, I dont have a aftermarket exhaust even. So I love the K&N, she sounds very aggressive. And I would guesstimate around at least +10HP on this. I have not had a before / after dyno done this just from the butt dyno.

Re: K&N Typhoon CAI and AeM bypass pic

No, you cannot select the it via a switch. If the cone filter gets submerged then the bypass valve will open up and bring air in there cutting off the flow of water in the cone filter. If you have a huge flood I would suggest making a short ram out of it "only would take like 5 mins"... Or better yet have a Hummer in your driveway just in case of a flood...

Re: K&N Typhoon CAI and AeM bypass pic

I wonder how is it proven to be effective as a bypass valve...as i understand it is just another foam filter ...
