Would adding a plenum spacer make my exhaust note and my engine note deeper or just the engine? I made two videos tonight maybe more later. I like the second video better.

this was around 10 pm and the first clip was closer to a road with no houses.

I would think just the engine/intake noise under the hood would deepen. I had my spacer in before my exhaust and that's my best guess.

I think the intake itself will make the car sound louder but I dont think i noticed any difference with the spacer on. If you want it to be louder you could always get the coupe midpipe

Yeah I already got the midpipe. I've noticed that exhaust got a little louder and deeper now. Its exactly what I was looking for

Here is your problem... You midpipe... HFC or Test pipe and youll be banging.
But your engine will be louder with headers intake and plenum yes.

Im gonna have a lot of bark but no bite haha. I'm trying to learn about headers/ and HFC/Test pipes. taking me a while to get the basics down.

I'm thinking on a N/A motor what you are looking at is the best combo based on what I have read. Just from reading the true dual setups lose low end for a few high end horsepower. My understanding is the stock exhaust, except for maybe the cats (and the exhaust manifold to a small degree), is pretty free flowing. I am thinking just from what I have read your combo would keep the low end torque, but free up a few horses (maybe 10) restricted by the aforementioned items. You topped it off with the HKS for a nice sound.Originally Posted by chinaman_87

^ thanks. The only thing about the headers is they are so damn expensive to install from what I've read here. I also read that 350z/G35c/G35s are interchangeable with headers and testpipes? Also that test pipes won't pass emissions?

Yeah, I was thinking about high flow cats form FI with header from DC Sports (DC headers are smog legal). The test pipes are supposed to be easy to change out, but I hear they stink (as in smell) because of the unburned gasses. Sport Compact (I think) did a test recently and there wasn't much difference between high flow cats and test pipes (like 1 hp on a Civic).Originally Posted by chinaman_87

Looking at the Helix V2 SS Test Pipes for 149.99. I saw DC headers for200 dollars a few months back. Anyone know for sure that the G35c/G35s/350z all have interchangeable aftermarket headers/testpipes/HFC.
yeah I'm planning on making more vids sooner or later to capture my projectors and exhaust better.
