I just installed a Z tube and replaced to an Amsoil drop-in....

A buddy at work gave me his Z tube for free so I dropped that in along with a new Amsoil filter....and I can feel the difference in the throttle response in the car. Maybe it's cuz the old air filter hadn't been changed in 2 years and then I dropping a Z tube in there REALLY made a difference then. I heard everyone saying be careful and make sure you don't rub the A/C line when installing the Z tube, but there's no way possible to touch the A/C line...is it because it's an 05? or did I miss something?

My other question is whether the resonator or that pipe in the airbox should be plugged? any conclusion to the purpose of that? I've read many responses and VIEWS, don't know which way is right...

which resonator are you talking about...the one on the stock intake line? that is a part of the stock setup to reduce noise

I dont have mine in. Its just a noise reducer. You take it off and it leaves a hole at the bottom where you can suck air through as well. Albeit hot air for that matter.

The hole in the bottom for the catch can seems to act as a vacuum - slight power loss is noticeable w/ it open - the best thing to do is rip off the power duct and put some type of weatherstripping around the new opening to form a seal against the hood
