Are Megan Racing Test Pipes Any Good??? Found A Deal!

Might pick up some Megan Racing Test Pipes that a guy has had on his car for under 300 miles. They look great, he had them and then went turbo and full custom exhaust.

He said they are non resonated, but they kinda look resonated? let me know what you think.

I can get them for 85 picked up, he was offering 100, I saw some selling for 75 on here brand new. Am I getting a good price or should I tell him 75?

One more thing, how are these quality wise? And are these gonna rattle ALOT? I have some heat wrap that i can wrap them in, shoul di wrap them?

thanks for answering my questions!!!

1. Is megan test pipes good and do these ones look resonated?
2. Is 85 Bucks them for under 300miles good price?
3. Will heat wrap keep rattleing down, and do you reccomend it?

1. Megan anything in my opinion is crap...just search and you will see some of the bad stories. I can't tell if they are resonated....but id he says they are non-resonated, than he is probably right.

2. $85 is cheap for any mod for our car, let alone test pipes.

3. Heat wrap will not do anything. Test pipes cause rasp on any exhaust for our car, unless you are FI.

^ i agree with ryan almost 100% anything that megan makes is just about the bottom of the barrel. The only thing that they make that has been tested by megan is their BBK. Scott, when he was working with VRT, took them on the track and was actually very impressed with them. Other than that though you would be better off with PVC pipe than megan racing test pipes.

I had megans on for about 3 mos' and i had one of the welds crack, the crack was about 2 inches, it almost went completely around the pipe, but i'd pick up another set for 60 bucks' ... I'm cheap like that

Not sure on the test pipes. That's an awesome price and as long as the welds hold up you will be fine.

Their BBK is very nice. A little strange looking but very nice.

I think imma get them for 85 picked up. thats as low as hell go, and he said he looked at some pics of some, and he said that his are resonated, and i looked too, and his ARE resonated. So thats good right!

Also, I was gonna ask, he says itll fit both g35, and 350Z, is that correct?

Megan Trash..........

So you ask what we think of Megan test pipes......you see the results but
you go ahead and buy them anyway.......why bother with the post? You
wasted your time and more importantly ours!

what's a brand reasonably priced and reliable? I don't want a weld cracked, iv'e been through that (mod cheap/mod twice). The non-resonated seem to be more reliable but I don't know how it will sound.
