Youa re talking about apples and oranges here . I never considered having straight pipes... if I did , that would be my recommendation... As far as the quality of stillen - I assume you have seen these shorty headers - otherwise how could you tell that their quality is bad. And the quality of this stillen exhaust is BY FAR superior to the borla, and at worst rivals the quality of nismo/5-zigen.

its also a requirement by law to drive under the speed limit. =)

and we all do that...

but if you get pulled over without cats and the cop smells it or sees it... you are screwed... especially in cali.

yep - my point exactly!!! Also, did you see the fow chart done by T/S comparing the high fow cats to straight pipes. The flow rate is almost identical!!! Believe me, it is worth the extra $250 to go with high flow cats rather than straight pipes. See below:
