Dual Exhaust w/ variable capacity muffler

I just noticed that the dual exhaust on the back of the coupe has a single outlet on each side. Does it not have the variable-capacity muffler that the sedan has? I like the variable-capacity feature (quiet at low rpms), and I think the twin pipes on each side look good. Take a peek at the rear of the 2004 Maxima. I don't like the new Max, but look at the exhaust.. and picture it on a G35 sedan.

Re: Dual Exhaust w/ variable capacity muffler

it's like a camaro z28- not a true dual exhaust

true dual is 2 pipes running from the headers back

someone try a photo-chop for that... u can imagine, but it's much better when you have something physical to look at..

pest, it would look even better if that picture were bright enough to see the exhaust in the shadow of the bumper! hehe

My mistake. I don't usually count the rear middle position as useful, and I just assume it's there.

Re: Dual Exhaust w/ variable capacity muffler

pretty dumb option.. they attempted to make the max bigger, but totally took out a seat? i guess some ppl really want the feel of a coupe (in the back) but still have their 4 doors..

Re: Dual Exhaust w/ variable capacity muffler

From the reviews I've read the Max has the same problem as the Altima with Torque Steer... The advantages of have a G35 with RWD

Re: Dual Exhaust w/ variable capacity muffler

I don't want the Maxima, I just want those four pipes sticking out the back of my G35 Sedan.
