New exhaust - options for stock one?
New exhaust - options for stock one?
I just got a new cat back exhaust (stillen for the sedan).
What does everyone do with the rather large, stock one? Any options for selling it (junkyards)? Even if I don't care about $, anyone know of places that I can leave it with?

Find a place to keep it, don't get rid of it or sell it, you might just want to reinstall it to resell your car some day. People that are typical sedan buyers are NOT going to like a aftermarket exhaust on the car at all, you'll resell the car easier with a OEM system on it. Of course you could try and sell the OEM system, thing is it's not a hot item, so price it to move. I kept my OEM system, it's sitting ontop of some storage cabinets in my garage.

I threw mine in the backyard storage shed. But first, I jammed coarse steel wool into the inlets and outlets to keep the little creatures out. Probably not be too good if you were to reinstall and start your car with a mouse nest inside!

Okay, maybe I should have been a little more direct...
I don't have the space for it. My wife is already mad about the "coffin sized" box in the garage. Given that it absolutely must go, what is the best option? Who would I sell it to? What's the best way to get something out of it?

Toss it in the atic or place it in the market place here, you'll need to appeal to someone that might want a extra exhaust to have around as a spare. But that's not going to be someone looking to pay big $$ for a just in case spare. If I were you I'd ask a token amount(think garage sale pricing) plus shipping.
