350z intake

hey. i was wondering if there is any difference in the 350z intake besides the intake tube. there is a guy that is goin to be putting on a supercharger at the end of the month and said i could have his tube. but i figured that since he wont be needing the other parts i could get them from him as well, if there are any differences between ours and the 350z. anyone know if there are any differences besides the intake tube?
thanks

Re: 350z intake

I believe that the only thing worth having is the Z tube. It is a good mod, by the way.

Re: 350z intake

Lots of rave reviews on this little bugger, just look around the forums (or search).

Tip - if you can find a used one take it, as you can get them as cheap as $20. Otherwise, below are the top 2 lowest prices I've seen. You can also use this to bargain with your local Nissan parts. I was quoted $112 and then asked if they price match. Mentioned I could get it for $75, but to save shipping and buy local asked to get it for $80. Done deal!

LMAO, Craig...

let's see.... cram = 65 posts

SFLG35 = 155 posts

SFLG35... what have you been posting on ?!?!?! Stay away from Off Topics young man!

j/k: but there are a ton of threads containing the answer to your question..(in amazing technicolor detail.) We just see that question, plus the "how can I get 300HP" or "what mods can I install that won't void my warranty, but will give me ##HP?"

These pop-up about every 13 days, and have been answered just short of 3.2 million times (give or take 2%). I also believe this is lovingly sarcastic response number 722,341.

Cheers, Ted

Re: 350z intake

Yes i am young (being only 20) and don't know as much a you guys do about cars, but i have come to learn. I did have a jeep before the g so i could tell you somethings about that. I don't think that i have posted anything in the off-topic forum. i dont usually post my comments because i dont know that much. I also supported you in not including that one guy who kept saying that he wasn't going to pay until you had 19 people for the samco hoses group buy. Being only 20, i am in college and don't have a job and yes my parents did buy the g for me. Its my graduation present. Since i don't have a job i don't have large sums of money sitting around for me to mod with. I also have to go on Friday to get a new windshield cause mine is cracked and in Florida you can get a ticket for driving with a cracked windshield.

I know that the z-tube does fit and helps, but I'm not asking about just that. What I'm asking about is if the whole 350z intake will fit and what the differences are between the z and the g intakes are. I have talked to DaveO and he said that it wouldn't fit due to some differences in the core support and the radiator. I would not have bothered posting if i was only talking about the z-tube cause i have read several of those posts and they all say the same thing.

and if anyone has to get a new windshield hope that your insurance will cover it because a new one costs 777.38 + install.

OK - first of all... any newbie that gets a little flack from folks on this board, know that it is all in good fun. SERIOUSLY - don't it seriously. Sheesh... try being under 50 on the Ford Galaxie or Thunderbird boards.... then you'll really feel like someone's ragging on ya (but, still in good fun!)

With that said.... Xattica, I'm gonna smack you!!!!

You didn't even try looking in the DIY forum, did ya?

Re: 350z intake

Well, there's also a bug in the forum software that doesn't auto-update your title.... there's a sticky post in the Off Topic forum about it, and you can post a message there if your title needs updating.

But.. um.. yeah, 156 is still young around here, grasshopper.

Re: 350z intake

Hi
I have been reading a few of these post for the last few days. I interested in installing one of these intake sytems in the spring. Too cold right now!
Please correct me if I am wrong :
After buying the z tube I have three options of equipment to attach it, first the pop charger, Stillen flow box or the K & N system. None of these system will cause any Hydra Locking bascially because they are located higher in the engine compartment. Is there any thing else that I would have to add to any of these system that I am not taking in account?
Injen CAI is located lower and there is possiblitly that it could
case hydrolocking.without having a by pass.

Where is the lowest price for the Stillen System?
By install the the z tube does it void my warranty?

Thanks
