350z intake
Re: 350z intake
The local Infiniti dealer has been selling and installing the Z-Ducts, so I don't think they have a problem with it. They're pretty pricey from the dealer from what I've heard.
It's the K&N panel filter that drops into the stock airbox, not their 'system'. I think all the kits come pretty complete, so you don't need much else.

Stillen comes with a K&N filter. $240 delivered (avalon racing...Search on "SEDAN: Sources and Links" in the last 6 months for a great thread source.
anything can void a warranty if your dealer has an **** retentive superiority complex syndrome. You've got the law on your side with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (sorry, you will have to search on this one for more info)...
The common consensus is that the 350z has the same engine as us. The Z-duct is a Nissan part.. therefore, how can using an oem part on the same engine void the warranty?
Stillen hi-flow is a passive air gathering system. I guess if the Stillen funneled a tornado into your engine, it could void your warranty (but you'd probably have other issues to worry about in that case)
Moreso, you'd probably be more worried about damaging your MAF sensor during the install or having a faulty install sucking a screw in or something... caveat viator
There will be nobody on this site that will come out and say that any specific mod will not void your warranty. The fact is that you are changing something highly paid/skilled engineers designed and produced. The warranty applies to that production. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects your from non-destructive enahancements...but you may find yourself arguing your own defense. Again...98.999% of us will never have a problem from our mods, but 98.99% of the dealers don't like dealing with something not factory. (% do not reflect real life and I sucked at math...so do the math) You will also learn that you can remove many mods before heading into the shop if you have a dealer suffering from the above mentioned ARSC syndrome.
We need a NEWBIE forum...please check my post in OFF TOPICS if you agree or have input.

Re: 350z intake
Z-Tube = Slightly Shorter tubing... air travels less distance from filter, maintains faster velocity, throttle body can suck it in smoother...
Z-Tube looses the huge resonator found on the stock G tubing and is a single large tube with no air restrictions
