exhaust question

i have the Topspeed Pro-1 exhaust and i just noticed today that the left muffler is melting away my paint right above the tip. Is this normal? is there some sort of way to get around this?

thanks

oh crap that sucks. did you get the 350z version or is that the g35 version. 350z is shorter which may be why yours is tucked under the bumper like that. definitely not good. it shouldn't do that unless your sitting still with your car on for long periods.
that exhaust is loud as fvck btw. how do you like it?

Probably has nothing to do with your problem, but it looks like your tip is set back pretty far from the end of the bumper. Either way that is deffiently not normal.

looked like some one hit you or you back into something forcing your exhaust forward/under that car and broke your seal/gasket

nope never hit anything. ya i hate to be stupid but i just called topspeed and they said their exhaust is the 350z exhaust and to get the g35 exhaust it comes with some extra pipe or something. i just think i'm missing that pipe which is why its tucked underneat the bumper. b/c i know its not supposed to be that short.

iuno how far it actually sticks out on the z.

my tips never even get hot. i can touch them after hours of driving and it's barely even warm. hks FTMFW!

but it looks like it's only 2-3 inches short max...i dont think a 'missing' pipe would be that short? i dont know, man...good luck. btw, yr exhaust sounds wicked.

thanks man. well topspeed said the piping or something is longer for the g35 so i think i got the 350z one. i havn't had a problem before but now that its summer and really hot outside i think that has something to do with it.
