How many is too many miles for a used midpipe?

I am debating about buying a used coupe midpipe and it has 31K miles on it, is that too much? or will it be just fine?

Depends...here are 2 scenario's:

1) Midpipe has 31K miles on it and it's from an '03 coupe from an owner who lives in Canada with harsh winters & road salt....3-4 yrs. of a poorly maintained/washed car would be a bad purchase on your part IMO.

2) Midpipe has 31K miles on it and it's from an '03 coupe from a guy who lives in sunny CA. Good deal IMO.

there are no flex joints on the midpipe. Its just one big piece of pipe with a small resonator in the middle.

Just make sure there is no excessive rust and you'll be good.

Check the welds and look for rust. Other than that you are fine.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I am now looking at a midpipe from an 06 coupe that has 51k miles on it, Would that be okay? How much should I pay?
