coupe midpipe vs. 05+ sedan midpipe

Hey guys, i know there a lot of forums about the various midpipes available, but there doesn't seem to be a general consensus on which swap is better for the '04 g35x. I know there's a clip of the 06 midpipe, but i couldn't find a sound clip of the coupe midpipe. Does anyone have a clip? Or has anyone tried both and felt that one was better than the other? Sorry if this seems to be a repetitive thread!

Why did you start a new thread on the same topic when the previous one you started had all the answers in it?

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/171548-make-sound-like-coupe.html

There is no definate answer to which one is better. Some people prefer the sound from the coupe midpipe, some prefer the quieter 05-06 sedan midpipe. Personally, I just had a 05 coupe midpipe installed on our 03 sedan today, sounds a little throaty at 1500 RPM, but other than that a LOT lighter and sounds more like the coupe.

The midpipe coupe will be a little louder than the 05 midpipe. I have a 05 sedan and swapped my midpipe out with a coupe midpipe. Overall, I say it's about maybe 15% louder with more of a raspy/throaty note. Works great if you want a little more volume from your exhaust but don't want to go aftermarket.

No -- if anything, the coupe midpipe is less restrictive than the stock 03-04 sedan midpipe. Less restrictive = same or better mpg. Really, you are over-analyzing this whole topic. Just get the midpipe already.

I got the coupe middy for my 04x and I love the sound. sounds like the coupe and a lot lighter than our stock mid section.

gdo do you have a soundclip? I might be looking into this mod. I searched and found sounds from 03 and 04's but not on 05 & up. I have an 06 sedan, but not ready to go aftermarket exhaust. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have a sound clip. I'll try to get something during the weekend.
