Afterthoughts on the Amuse Powerhouse Exhaust
Afterthoughts on the Amuse Powerhouse Exhaust
Wow, i can't believe it's been almost 6 months since i've had this exhaust!
I still remember the day i went to go pick up the box!
ORIGINAL THREAD
Well, for what it's worth, here's my write up on the exhaust.
Being part of the extreme minority with this exhaust, it's definitely a nice feeling to be rolling around with this exhaust.
Not just for the sheer snob appeal, but the looks you'll get from the way it sounds to the way it looks.
QUALITY: SUPERB!!!
Literally, this is second to none.
The welds are incredibly tight and clean.
The exhaust turns bluer and more purple by the day.
The few track events turned the exhaust gas temps up really high and have scorched the titanium into a different hue.
The exhaust tips look funny to some, but whatevers.
I choose to ABUSE the AMUSE, along with my car. :P
FITMENT: HORRIBLE!!!
The evap can must be moved over and there isn't a relocation kit.
If not, the exhaust will burn a hole thru the corner and cause the SES light to come on.
I found this annoying for a $2500+ exhaust system.
But i guess it serves me right for going JDM.
Also, when aftermarket cats or y-pipes are used, the exhaust will sit lower and begin to rub against the sub-frame.
PERFORMANCE: INCREDIBLE!!!
The exhaust (mid-pipe and muffler) weigh 19lbs. COMBINED!
That's the weight of the STOCK CLUTCH!!!
The exhaust note is one of the most exotic sounding out there.
Combined with faster reving (lightened flywheel), it sounds like a motorcycle free-reving.
Going back to the Y-pipe from the HKS Hi-Power was a nice revisit of the low to midrange PUNCH that the car used to have.
Aside from the fitment of the exhaust, i'm incredibly happy to this day.
Recently i've been testing different setups in regards to the cats and y-pipes to make sure i'm getting the most power out of it without creating too much rasp.
I wasn't happy with the results and have decided on going with a custom Hi Flow Cats+Y-pipe setup to yield max power and reduce rasp.
However, this setup will remain unveiled to the public.
Sorry, just tired of the jockers and biters
But in the meantime, enjoy the new pics.

Thanks for viewing and reading.
Take care,
-DRU
