Fast Intension Intimidator Exhaust Review. WOW

Now I know why there are no negative comments or reviews in regards to this exhaust. I just had it installed & Holly Sh*T does it sound nice. Video clips do this exhaust no justice. It's quiet at idle [a little louder then stock]; But much louder when you are driving it. Around 2-3K RPM the exhaust sounds so mean. Nice and deep with no RASP. At WOT all I can say is wow. The fitment was perfect and welds/ bends are nothing but. Another G35 member hit the sound right on the head " sounds like a G35 on steroids". Just so you know, I am a very picky individual & so far I have nothing bad to say. GO FAST INTENSION!!! from Dave

Another happy customer.

Wait until you slap some high flow cats on it.

Ditto

Had mine installed 4 days ago. (sitting in gaurage for about a year.... lol don't ask)

Sounds great at idle and when you go WOT it really comes to life and sounds like a performance exhaust should.

Only slight negative is the slight drone when in 6th gear going about 70-75mph. Reset ECU and waiting for it to be broken in though.

I have the test pipes sitting in the gaurage and thinking about trading for high flow cats.... howhum...

how much of a performance difference would you get from the high flow cats and what will the high flow cats do to the sound of the exhaust

-im trying to decide on an HKS or Fast intentions

I love the fact that in every G35/350Z meet I go, there's like 324543543 HKS exhausts and im usually the only one with Fast Intentions

It's such a unique sound. I have not heard a single person with negative feedback on the Fast Intentions... atleast those who have heard it in person.

I get people asking me what I did to my car to make it sound so exotic

First of all - thanks all for the kudos' and glad you like the system!!

re: performance difference and HFC info. you will get about ~7-8HP from them, and more warble in the exhaust and more exotic at higher RPM's. you will also get about ~7-8 lbs of torque as well.

With that said - you have a choice between 400 cell ceramic and 300 cell metallic CATS from Fast Intentions. The 300 cell will yield another 3-4HP and TQ, and last longer with a modified car. They will hold up much better to rich and lean conditions.

How do these two cat variants compare to the resonated test pipes, power-gain wise?

You might gain 2-3 hp/tq over the HFC with TP, resonated or not. But the few cons of the TP's are enough to move me over to HFC's

how would you FI owners compare the sound of the system to the stock sound? does it sound similar at all or does it make the car a whole new beast?

Deeper than stock, and more alive up top. It does not sound "ricey" at all. Not overly loud either, but a really nice roar under WOT.

The system was specifically designed to mimic the stock sound - only as I said 2 years ago, on steroids. You have the stock howl retained, but deeper and louder. The sound is really aggressive.
