I just put my FI resonated TP on this past weekend and it's great. Much better then the non-resonated TP I had on before. It's a bit quieter and gone is the annoying rasp I had. I didn't get a CEL but I used the non fouler plugs. I would recommend doing this. as far as the crackling sound it could be a loose heat sheild. Also check the clips that holds the wire for the O2 sensor to the trans pan. On mine it was too close and would rattle, I just bent it out a little and that solved the problem.

i just got some fi resonated test pipes this past weekend...i can't wait to get them installed this friday...you need to get non foulers...if that doesn't work

then screw on another pair...that's what the guy that sold me them told me to do...as for the crackling sound, is it the exhaust backfiring?

stock exhaust. it's pretty loud even with the stock exhaust, I wouldn't want it louder.

only a single non-fouler plug is needed on each side.

its actually more of a sucking sound. if im cruising without my foot on the throttle you can hear it as the car is just moving in gear.

So you are saying with stock exhaust and FI resonated TP's you are getting no rasp to redline from a stop? If this is it then id rather not spend the money getting the HFC. Im worried about rasp period.... Do you have a soundclip?

I got my FI resonated Testpipes installed yesterday (thanks to Dru at Street Image)...i love the way they sound...I have them paired up to my hks

exhaust...they do have a downside though...if I mash the pedal and go past 3100rpm there's a tin like rasp from 3100 to maybe around 4800...If I shift below

3100 no rasp and it sounds really nice imo...it also doesn't rasp if I go above 3100 without the pedal to the floor...I'm guessing it might be the same on the

stock exhaust...the rasp doesn't really bother me too much and overall i'm happy with them...If you have FI resonated testpipes post up your thoughts and state

what kind of exhaust you have along with them...

on occasion there is a slight rasp sound but not bad at all a big improvement over the non-resonated TP I had before. Once the engine is warmed up there is no rasp. Sorry no sound clip. I'll try to take one later with my camera. I'm happy with the The FI resonated TPs, after all the problems i've read about with HF cats failing I didn't want to waste big bucks on something that wouldn't last in the long run.

Yeah, thats my biggest concern. I know that with Stock exhaust and headers resonated TP's shouldnt cause rasp. I heard that stock exhaust do rasp when paired with resonated Tp's on aftermarket headers. I just want to hear a clip of stock exhaust, stock headers, paired with resonated test pipes from Fast Intentions, if someone can be so kind please =). If you live in the Miami area i will drive anywhere to see it. I just dont want to spend the money on resonated TP's and be dissapointed. DHC if you could do a clip that would be greatly appreciated dude. From idle to redline and also take off etc? I know its a lot to ask but whatever you can do its fine. Thanks in advance

i noticed today after a long trip that if the testpipes are warmed up, the rasp past 3100rpm goes down significantly...this set up is definitely a head turner...my friends and girlfriend love it.

Thats cool, i guess it shouldnt be too bad on the stock exhaust since HKS has higher flow therefore having a higher chance of rasp? Idk really just a guess, i know that the stock exhaust is way more restrictive than HKS true dual so having the stock might not rasp. Like i said i just want to hear it then i will decide, hopefully DHC will come through =)
