Stalling issue on a 2004 coupe

I have had my 04 coupe for a few months now. I have noticed this several times now.
When I am driving a little harder than usual and then put the car in neutral the tach jumps around in the very low rpm's and it has actually died on me a handful of times. It died on me twice on the way to work this morning but when I tried to duplicate the problem it wouldn't happen again. Its almost like the ECU knew that it was going to happen and compensated for it.

The only thing done to the car is a Stillen cold air and Z tube. I highly doubt this could be causing it but am not very familiar with the advanced OBDII systems. My first thought was that the car was getting too much air and that the mass air sensor could not keep up with it, but thats just a guess.

I am taking it to the dealership this coming week to get it looked at. Should I take the intake off and install the OEM one just in case it could be the mass air sensor?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

sometimes if you oil the intake to much that will cause the car to die

i used to have this problem but for some reason it went away after a while. I would recheck your intake...maybe you have a vacuum leak.

I am not aware of anyone having a problem like this with the Stillen AirBox setup. Many had stalling issues with the Injun CAI, but not the Stillen.

I am going to take it back to the dealer with the stock intake on it and see if there is anything wrong with it. If there isn't then I know whats causing it.

Stalling

I am having the same problem with my g35 sedan 6spd, after I installed the Stillen intake when I put the car in neutral above 60mph the rpms drop and it shuts down. Have you figured out what the problem is.
Thanks

+1 here... others have said the ECU learns and the problem goes away. Not the case with me. Still have the problem after about 6,000+miles on intake/Z-tube
