Put the pop-charger filter in the stillen air-box.

 

My Stillen CAB is loud as anything - but I also have a 1/2" plenum spacer and I get a slight whistle. However, usually the drone of the exhaust overpowers everything anyways.

As the post above says, use the Stillen heat shield w/ the Pop-Charger filter. I know many ppl use that setup. Also one thing to check is the Venturi*sp* ring. Is it turned so that it is flush against the back of the filter?

 

I just purchased a popcharger replacement filter for my stillen airbox...is it a direct swap...or is there anything else that i have to do to make it fit???

 

Direct swap. It's just a filter.

 

where did you get it - how much?... did it come with the velocity ring? Does anyone know if the Stillen velocity ring fits the JWT? (I imagine it does, same size right?)

You'd think I'd know these things after all this time... I haven’t really considered doing anything different to my intake until recently... BTW - I still haven’t found a direct "correct fit" dry filter replacement... has anyone else?

Want louder? Get an exhaust

The Stillen + Z-Tube is just as loud as any other intake out there. I don't know what else you can do to make it louder. Personally, I can't even hear mine anymore since I have gotten so use to it.

well...i have an exhaust and a stillen intake...but i just need to know if the popcharger filter will fit the stillen intake...i have had a popcharger before so if it doesnt fit ill just put the popcharger heat shield on and have the popcharger again but it would be nice if the popcharger filter just fit inside the stillen heatshield

I got it from everythingG35.com for 50 bucks...i think it was like 6 dollars for shipping and no it does not come with the velocity ring its just a filter

 

As mentioned by others above, Adding a 1/2" spacer will make it louder and a little deeper.

I'm pretty sure the Stillen velocity ring fits in there right?... The JWT is designed for one isn't it? I've seen them so many times, I'm not sure why I don't know the answer

 

Well from what others have said... the stillen velocity ring should fit in there...this weekend i am going to put it on and see for sure though...sorry about the lags in answering your question.
