I didn't really notice that but what matters is the 60 foot times were not affected either.

Does the power duct snap in on the bottom or is it only the top 2 clips that its attached with?

Mine is off a long time ago...my son loves the sound even though I only have a drop-in and a Z tube.

And I remembered someone had measured the delta temp w/ and w/o the duct. The delta is very little...forgot the amount, too lazy to do search.

One thing I've found about modifying or removing the Power Duct on the 5AT cars is that it negatively influences the shift firmness and speed of the 1-2 shift at WOT and under part most any part-throttle shifts (they feel lazy). With my modded Power Duct (bottom section cut off), the WOT 1-2 manual shift feels nasty. You can totally feel the shift nanny killing power momentarily on the shift and then laying it back on hard. Even in auto mode, the shift doesn't feel great (very soft). With the duct on, the shift is hard and fast in manual mode or auto. There is definitely something going on with how the 5AT TCM/ECU senses air velocity because it definitely influences the shift. I now run with the duct on because I like the crisper and harder shifts and the power below 3000rpms feels stronger.

I know the power duct directs air into the filter because on my JWT pop charger equipped 5AT sedan, that part of the filter where the power duct is located gets much dirtier than the rest of the filter. There wouldn't be any concentration of dirt if the power duct wasn't sending air to the intake.

if u like loud noise, why not get a coupe or a z?? A sedan- like an suv should be as quiet and comfortable as possible. If u want to do performance upgrades and have loud exhaust, intake and stuff why not get a sports car? when you buy a car you should know what your needs are, why do ppl try to make a car something that it is not? its like the scum that put loud exhausts on luxury suv's WHYYYYYYYYYY?????????? this is more than a pet peeve to me I need anger management for this shyt

Well some people people like performance sedans. There are quite a few muscle/sports sedans out there that are pretty dang loud and f-ing fast (AMG, SRT8, M-series, etc to name a few). I do agree that making a G sedan sound like something it's not is not my thing hence the reason I dumped my Borla TD so quickly. I do have the 05 sedan midpipe on my 03 and it greatly increase exhaust noise without being annoying at all. I absolutely love it and it sounds way better than the coupe midpipe I had. As for intake noise, I've add the Z-tube and sealed off the airbox resonator which has resulted in a 30% increase in induction noise. At part-throttle, the induction noise sounds like stock. Above 3K, you can hear it. I love it. It gives the sedan the soul it deserves.

it doesn’t "make" air cooler, it seals so the "cold" air from outside is directed through he intake - without it you are pulling in hot air from the engine bay...

For those that want to debate this all day long, just remove the thing and enjoy your mean sound, while others are passing you.
