What? There are only two push clips that are holding the power duct in place.

Ummm... its not for cold air. FYI it acts as a ram air system at speed, directing air flow from the grille to the intake. Its not going to effect 60ft times because it doesn't start really working until 50mph+.

The induction noise change really seems to only happen on an 03/04 - something about the 05s+ different plenum design that muffles it.

yes, cold air as oppose to hot engine heat.
