NISMO or JWT?

If you had the choice of getting either one which one would you get if money wasn't a problem? I ordered a JWT popcharger with the Z-tube but I'm not sure if that's the way I want to go. Please help me decide. Thanks in advance.

Re: NISMO or JWT?

JWT from what the people on the my350zforum have been saying is that the nismo is cheap. I cant confirm this for i have not seen it but thats the word on the street. also there is all that debate on weather or not a CAI acauly is good for real world driving or if it only works for dynos.

Good luck

Re: NISMO or JWT?

It's like comparing an apple to an orange.
The JWT Pop charger is the a great warm air filter setup, makes good power and is expensive.
The CAI should make more power (due to resonance tuning) and should also make more power in the real world than on the dyno, due to the lowered intake air temperature and resonance tuning. The downside is that the CAI could suck up water and/or debris, depending on how cautious you drive in bad conditions. The other would be cost, they do cost more than the pop charger. Oh yeah, and they don't fit with a stage II Stillen Supercharger. The windshield washer resevoir gets moved right to where the lower CAI/filter tube would go.

ok thanks guys. I just finished installing my JWT and I'm impressed. That thing sounds amazing. Some nice performance gains too.

Re: NISMO or JWT?

isnt it the other way around? the JWT should perform better in the real world due to the air being sucked in the vents. also, the JWT is not a hot air intake as there is a heat shield. The Nismo may suffer from air pressure zones actually sucking air out of the intake at high speeds. of course, there is no proof of this and it is only speculation.

Re: NISMO or JWT?

I have had both. I have ran testing on both intakes. Unless my NISMO had the day off, I lost about 2hp and 3lb torque with the NISMO. (Mustang Dyno with 2 runs). I like them both, but currently i am using the pop.
