I honestly did not think the headers were that big of a deal. And I say that with 100% straight face and not trying to be a bullsh*tter.

as stated earlier... the cost vs. benefit is many times prohibitive... there are many things that make more sense to do first... but then, you know...you just need more

there is no set of headers that can blow everything else out of the water...you can only do so much with them. the only thing you should look for when purchasing headers is the quality...performance-wise they should all be similar

Crawford, Stillen, DC, Strup, Nismo, Borla, Megan Racing,… just to name a few

The OEM are pretty efficient... you wont see the gains on a G or Z like you would many other cars... I'm only doing them if/when i get cams...

my comment was specific to our engine...other cars may get better gains from headers but with our cars there really aren't any mods that give high gains without going FI. our engines were built/tuned pretty well to begin with

I might have to talk to him into possibly making a custom header for our cars if the interest is there. How many people do you guys think out there would be interested in a header that would probably blow all headers in the market outta the water?

How about a nice set of long tube headers w/ longer, stepped primaries, and a bigger collector.

Another item:

Headers do help - depending on other mods - very well in fact. As I've parted out to switch platforms - I have just removed my DC headers and they are for sale - so PM me if interested.

On a last note - give Tony a call at Fast Intentions - I hear some interesting things have been going on there in the last week.

Hehe it could happen. I'll go see my guy who makes headers and see if he'd be down sometime later in 08'. Give me a couple of months.

I like my Topspeed headers - got them for $200 and perform as well as the $600-1000 headers. Had them for 3yrs now, not one problem.

how difficult can installing headers be ? I put in longtube headers in my 2000 mustang and had to lift the motor on one side.

wondering if it's worth the trouble though knowing I'll always be n/a and just want to get some HFC's and all other bolts on's ??
