One piece header and cat

I just got a prototype one piece header and cat installed. I cant believe how much gains I got from this mod. The only thing i have a problem with is the CEL light, Is there any mod I can do to make the CEL light go away.

Never heard of that before. Got any pics?

You can try non-foulers for the CEL.

Hey Skaterbasist...I forgot to answer your question. I still havent gone to court to pay my fine yet.

This 1 piece header I got was a prototype made by megan racing, I dont have any pictures of it since they installed it before I got the chance to look at it. It was a big increase in torque. I love this thing but now that it threw a CEL light im thinking of taking it off again lol. Also I dont wanna risk getting another ticket.

Try the non-foulers. What year are you? If you are 05+, our wide-band sensors make it harder trick the ECU via Non-Foulers. But give it a try. It works for most.

I have an 06, and I will be putting some non-foulers that I have. I should have put them on during the tp install, but drilling was taking me way too much time.

PS. Keep me updated on your fine. I want to know how much you will get (hopefully non or very little) just to keep it in mind.

interesting concept. I'm not sure i see the feasibility. Headers alone are already a headache for the install, now you're making it longer by attaching the cats to it. I can only see this making it much harder to install. As for the benefit, wouldn't it perform the same as piecing headers and cats/TP together? perhap avoiding leaks by eliminating header/cat joint.

If they are "properly designed and tuned" true equal length long tube headers, the setup can boost some serious midrange as opposed to shorties (short tube headers), which is the only reason why you would want to have a "one piece" header.

Furthermore, if you really want to pass smog, you can always put up some metallic cats after the header or one 3" metallic cat after your ypipe.

Yeah these are true equal length headers. The difference is day and night...I had test pipes w/ no headers on the car before this and I can say that these are the way to go for more power!!
