I was in pricing a HKS exhaust with test pipes. The shop is trying to push me towards this knock off from SS Auto Crome. They say it is the exact same quality as HKS at $800 less. They say you pay for the HKS name. I call BS in my gut. Has anyone got these pipes or heard of them?

 

The only HKS wannabe I heard of is the "XO2". There are some people here using it.

 

I would not trust any knock off, go with the HKS, to me anything else that tries to knock off another product is just an attempt to cash in on the other products sales.

 

SS Autochrome is actually decent knockoff stuff. They have been doing stuff for the DSM world for a while. I actually have their frontmount on my eclipse.

 

Check into Fast Intentions test pipes, I've heard nothing but good feed back
on there products. HKS does get extra $ for their name but WTF it's under
your car.......who cares about a name?? Woops, forgot about the ARC
cult, for what they pay for their products it should install itself........
