I'm very happy with mine. Nice and quiet when you want it and absolutely rippin' when you want it. How much more could you ask for? Performance wise I suppose it picked up a few ponies but who's to tell without the tell tale before and after dyno's.

Re: Your general opinion on Popcharger/Z-tube

Is the cone filter in the Popcharger replacable?
I would really like a red one like on the Injen. I know I am being picky, and I will probably just order it regardless.

but I would really like to get the filter in red or maybe swap with someone who wants a blue filter?

any ideas?

If you want red, get the Stillen . Or you can use the K&N oil to re-oil the JWT. According to Jason @ Perf. Nissan, you can use the K&N oil to re-oil the JWT. But it will turn the filter red .

Yes, It's replaceable. If you use K&N filter oil, I believe that it turns the filter red.

does this combo, which so many people seem to have, cause a loss in low end power? I know the injen cai is known to do that..

thanks

No loss in low end power that I could feel. No downsides, except the noise, which I like. Yes, if you re-oil with K&N Oil, it will turn the filter red.

K&N oil will turn the filter red??

wow, can someone elaborate on this?
can I do it even when the filter is brand new?

so if you use JWT oil on the Injen, will it turn blue?

this is obviously news for me =)

Re: Your general opinion on Popcharger/Z-tube

To change the JWT to red, you must first clean it with the proper cleaning solutions and water. The filter when clean and unoiled is white. When completely dry, you re-oil, following instructions - Do Not Over Oil. If you re-oil with K&N oil it's red, with JWT Oil it's blue. The same goes for any other gauze based oilable filter.

I'm usually pretty handy with photoshopping colors... though you might want to see this

It's not a perfect match to K&N's red oil, but you probly get the idea

Re: Your general opinion on Popcharger/Z-tube

Thanks for the photochops! I prefer the second pic with the darker red.
lol, never thought I would pick filter oil based on their colour... is there an oil with the darker red colour?

I'll probably paint that heat shield too...that goldish colour just looks out of place.
thanks for the input guys.
