No joke, I just got my nismo exhaust and rt cats installed last week. I installed my pop charger a long time ago but took it off because I didn't care much for the whizzing noise. Anyway, the cats make a very raspy sound, it sounds like all the air is going through a soda can under the car and it is LOUD. Well I figured since I have so much noise already the pop charger wont make much of a difference, but its made a huge difference.

I no longer get the soda can noise any more, now all you can really hear is the exhaust which is very nice. WOT it sounds like a true sports car, lower rpm's you can still hear it but it is a big improvement. As far as performance goes w/ the pop charger, I don't really notice a difference. I am noticing a difference in the sound at night when it is colder vs. the day..also I can hear the cats a lot more at night as well.. I still haven't figured that one out. Anyone else out there with this set up?

 

So the raspiness is gone--you're right, that is kind of weird, but I like it. Is the overall noise level of the car the same or lower now?

That is what's confusing me, there isn't an intake sound. When I had the pop charger installed before the noise under the hood was noticeable.. now its gone. I have some clips of before and after, I don't know where to upload them to though.. The raspiness is there but minimal..it sounds exactly like the stock exhaust but more aggressive which is what I wanted. The clips don't do the sound any justice, the exhaust is so loud that I really couldn't push the gas like I wanted to because I live in such a quiet neighborhood.
