Question about ECU
Hello I'm from Russia
, my english is bad, i've got some questions.
There is not enough information about G35 here (in Russia)
I have G35x 2007? i want to increase power
I want to replace intake and exhaust system but i was told that without new ECU (program) it's Inefficiently. Is it true? Where can i get new program?
I want to put these things
http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G35%204DR
http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G35%204DR
http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G35%204DR
And what's the better stuff - stillen, HKS, a'pexi, 5zigen or greddy? I don't want to have too loud exhaust

There are several Russian-speaking members on here who may be able to help you out... As far as reprogramming the ECU, there are places that can ship programs you can install with your computer (UpRev Osiris, for example). Not sure if they ship internationally, but I don't see why they wouldn't.
Good luck!
And your best bet with figuring out which exhaust you want is to either search YouTube videos, or listen to sound clips. This website's sound clips might be a good place to start:

Actually the Osiris is a CD that comes that you load onto your personal computer... you can customize it the modifications you have done. They have up to 5 different maps you can have all on the same software. It plugs into your ECU via a USB cable from you computer with the output directly to your ECU.
guys he has an 07 G35x... wouldn’t that be a sedan?... which means its the HR... I'm not sure the ECU tuning has been accomplished on the HR yet... I know TS has been working on it (they may be offering now?)… but I don’t think UpRev is ready yet.

HR is the newer VQ engine from Infiniti. '03-'06 were the VQ35DE, now it's the VQ35HR.
Not sure about HR, but THere have been a bunch of dyno test which show bolt on mods losing some power w/o a tune or ecu flash. I think to more bolt-on mods you do w/o a tune, the more potential there is of losing performance. So I would do your mods, then get a flashed ecu from AAM or technosquare or something similar to that like osiris.
As far as bolt-ons and added performance, I have a Stillen CAI, Z-tube, AAM angled plenum spacer, Fast Intentions dual cat-back and high flow catalytic converters, and my car is much, much faster than stock - both in feeling and actual performance. As far as the '07 G35X, however, don't know, but if you do enough bolt-ons you'll see again with or without a flash. A flash, of course, will optimize and increase the gains.

did the dual pop charger come out yet for the HR that would be some thing to look at also the stillen exhaust sounds sweet. I dont think that there is any computer/ mods for the HR yet I could be wrong tho.
Basic bolts on are almost all breather mods… at some point you end up running lean… this is what ends up killing power – the ECU pulls timing to prevent knock… intake and exhaust generally won’t lean you out to much – even adding a plenum or spacer usually keeps it okay… but once HFC or test pipes and/or headers are installed (with intake, exhaust, plenum) often times the A/F is too lean and the car becomes a slug.
It’s all moot though because from what I can tell the OP has an HR sedan so his only real option is Stillin’s intake and an exhaust… that won’t do much to the A/F and probably not a lot for power (maybe a little)… as time goes on I’m sure there will be more performance stuff available for the HR.
