Reinstalling OEM exhaust manifold + heat shields

Hey guys,

I'm putting my OEM exhaust manifolds back on and one of the shops I called said the manifolds are pretty simple to reinstall. But he did say the heat shields will take A LOT of time to get on there. Does this make sense to you guys? I'd like to get the manifold heat shields back in place and just wanted to know if this guy's being straight up, or if I should look around for another mechanic to hook it up.

Thanks in advance,
B

Who originally installed your strup headers and how long did that take? I would expect a similar rate. If the engine is out, it's very easy. With the engine still in the car, there is very little room to work around

AAM in Maryland did the headers/cats at the same time. I s'pose I could ask them to make sure the shields get on there too. So I guess the logic is that the shields are pain if the engine is still in the car, right?

Thanks,
B
