KINETIX PLENUM CRACKED!!!

Re: KINETIX PLENUM CRACKED!!!
Relatively speaking they are "rock solid". You certainly do not hear of crawfords cracking. As far as leaking is concerned, it happens on cars that did NOT have their gaskets replaced. I had that problem when I bent the gasket during installation. Once I replaced it, no problems (I yes, I di check with a vacuum gage).
Also, I have the clear coated, early Crawford and the paint NEVER chipped. On the new ones, it is not an issue at all.

Re: KINETIX PLENUM CRACKED!!!
Just to confirm... I just double check my kinetix, it didn't show any crack when the engine is running... apart from the little crack that I cracked myself during installation... but that crack has not gotten worse...
I will probably exchange for V2 later on...

INJEN CAI, Borla TD Exhaust, Grounding Kit
Kinetix Plenum, Hi-Flow CAT, Front Lip Spoiler
8000K HID, PIAA 7500K SPARK BLUE

Re: KINETIX PLENUM CRACKED!!!
mine cracked but kinetix was very quick to send me another one didn't even ask for the first one to be returned mine was an early v2 but was one of several that were out of spec thinner than normal their customer service response is outstanding and the first plenum worked great till it cracked. I'll stay with them till they get a chance to get the plastic composition right I'd rather have the plastic version due to less heat transfer and slightly lighter weight than the aluminum one not to mention the fact that you get to keep your stock one for any warranty issues.
