New Exhaust....pics/video

I bought a "thrush" muffler 2.25 dia. Its an exact copy of a 40 series flowmaster. Flows patent ran out so they moved in to copy!! Hey they're only $30 from summit racing.

First I unbolted the stock muff and cut the tube and flange from the back. then bolted the flange and tube back on and positioned the muffler where I wanted it, then tacked it in place. Then welded it up. Next was the stock hangers which I cut off the original muff positioned them on the new muff and tacked and fitted then welded it on. Then welded the tip hanger on and now I only have one tip.

I really didn't want a loud raspy sound neither did my wife (its her car) so I figured this would be a cheap do up. Its not a huge difference but its a little more "throaty" and a little deeper sound.

What do ya think?

Not bad. It is a little deeper. I wonder if a coupe middy would have just been the trick for you though. But for $30, its cheaper alternative (minus the work you put into it).

Put some vids up of it under load (drive bys is possible).

Very handy work

Wow man, nice job for $30+labor! Not too loud but more aggresive for sure.

I'll be sure to get a vid of me driving away , maybe two one slow and one RIPPIN'

I can still do a coupe mid pipe. I just don;t wanna make it too loud I hate the highway drone sound.

Sweet, can't wait to hear/see the vid ...especially the RIPPIN one

Stay away from the coupe middy then cause you get a small drone at about 2500 rpm. Its very subtle but there.

Here you go . It's summit performance parts they are HUGE and they always have great service and quick shipping. I got mine from my local NAPA auto parts.
