Looks like a musket. I want to see the numbers when the exhausts come out

They actully have a functional purpose. They aren't tips, they're diffusers.
They reduce pressure drop by reducing RhoV^2/2G.

Diffusers are optimized by getting the angles, inlet and outlet diameters coordinated just right.

(Its a detail Mechanical, Aerospace and Chemical engineers will appreciate.)

Unfortunately they don't look that great on the car. Of course that is my opinion but like you said you have several different versions coming out. Can't wait to see the exhaust with the Ti Tips.

oh yeah, doesn't everyone know that?...

I'm looking forward to knowing more about this exhaust... I suspect it will be one of the few that truly has performance characteristics...

Anyone that wants exhaust for sound only, there are plenty of choices... MD has performance in mind and me likey!!!!

It looks weird like that. I think if the tips were offset to where they will be at a 90 degree angle from the rear bumper openings then itll look cool! Can you do that Tony? Will it affect the purpose of the pipes to begin with?

you're suggesting a rocket scientist re-engineer his product

I really don’t think looks were the primary consideration... I suspect performance was foremost - with a reasonably tasteful aesthetic characteristics.

Hehe! Tony worked at rocketdyne too long! And yes, I do wholly appreciate the design purpose! Although I don't think any lift or circulation equations will really come into play here. @me

Still happily waiting!

It may not be possible to use the diffusers at that angle, but I'll look into it.

A total uneducated guess but for that rocket style expanded exhaust tip to function wouldn't two things have to be happening?
1) In order to increase velocity, the opening has to be necked down right before the expansion
2) For expansion/flow, wouldn't the gasses have to be increasing in temp vs decreasing at the end of the exhaust pipe?

It does look a little weird from that angle, but how often do you really see the car like that anyway? It's also sure to get a doubletake from anyone who puts it on a lift.

Personally, as long as the numbers are there and it looks decent when the car is on the ground, I'll be one of the first in line.

Regardless all i ( we ) really care is about the numbers > looks. Good luck Tony, make it happen! How about the Cats? TPs? Lets see some pics on those my friend.
