Get a HKS and call it a day.

They cross inside a single muffler, so again technically not a true dual.

not "true" dual:

huh. . .I guess the FI isn't really either:

single resonator.

true dual (separate the ENTIRE way back):

I see... yeah the FI has a magnaflow resonator on it... I guess that "true dual" you showed has individual resonators. Interesting

Actually X/H pipes have been known to make power by using the other side's pumping power to help draw the exhaust though the pipe. As well as reduce noise as you mention.

I'd consider it a true dual because it has seperate paths all the way until the end of the exhaust.

Actually I'm not sure if I know of a "true dual" exhaust as per your definition. All that I've seen either had a H or X pipe, dual in/out catalysts or muffler of some sort.

Thanks for the dyno info. I was thinking the same thing

Quote: Technically the borla is not a "true" dual exhaust since the pipes both enter a single canister before splitting out and the back end.

The only reason to connect the two sides is to reduce the gurgling sound that true separate pipes can make.

And for the love of all that is holy, will people not post up "I heard that blah blah loses power" nonsense without posting dyno info?

doesn't look like it lost power to me;

But in all fairness, get the fast intentions. . .it is a true dual. . . and my next exhaust.

Fast Intentions use a resonated X pipe. One I'd like to have on my Borla

Quote: Neither of them, I don't know Bassani to judge it, but Borla is not worth the money i.m.o, the only exhausts I buy for the G for me is the HKS Hi-Power or the Fast Intentions But good luck and post sound clips on whatever you get

Borla is quite tho, for the money I rather get Fast Intentions, sounds like the stock exhaust on steroids with noticeable gains
Exactly!! If my only choices were Bassani or Borla, I'd stay stock. Save up a little bit longer and get HKS or Fast Intentions. I have owned both of these exhausts and they are the only 2 that I would consider on my G.

I would have to say that the mufflers on both the borla and the FI exhaust are chambered designs that keep the pipes seperate even in the canister.

I like the borla, but thats because I can appreciate a slightly louder than stock without being obnoxious sound, plus I love their tip-in-tip design.

The bassani for the extra money does seem to be a good value, I favor X-pipes over H-pipes any day. The F.I exhaust is probably the only exhaust I would buy for over $1000 though.
