Wow, after listening to that R8 clip... i think my setup sounds the closest: DC headers, Kinetix HFC's and Stillen Gen2 Exhaust

You want sound, you got it....!

I like the HKS exhaust sound the best. The sound clip on the Stillen
must have been a sedan, that was friggin awfull.

They will Definately be much louder than HFC. The jump from HFC to resonated test pipes is alot more than what going from the stock OEM cats to HFC is.

might just go fast intentions w/ resonated test pipe then.. we'll see tomor.. my stock exhaust is flattened out from being so low.. thats my main concern is screwing the aftermarket up

Fast Intentions sounds really nice with HFC's or test pipes. I am running FI exhaust with FI hfc's and it's the best combo that I have had so far. Henry (skaterbassist) has FI exhaust with FI test pipes and his is definitely louder with test pipes. It sounds meaner. I have a Vortech SC so I have a lot of other noises going on too besides just the exhaust.

im surprised no one mentioned the greddy evo cat back. IMO i think that happens to be a great sounding exhaust with HFC or resonated test pipes. It pretty much beefs up the stock exhaust note.

next to that, the HKS would be my next choice.

good luck with your final decision.

i love the sound of the oem exhaust but i wish it was just a little meaner sounding..

fast intensions

is their a particular exhaust anyone has that under 2500-3000 rpm sounds very quiet and doesnt drone, (highway driving wont give me a headache) but above 3k or so comes to life and sounds mean as hell like this R8?

HKS+ looks good too
