Hey NYCG35 how did you get the leather thing between the heat shield and the plastic peace of the stock intake to fit so snug, mine's all over the place

Try renaming your file to something that doesn't have spaces in the filename and re-attaching it.

I had some bracket bending to do to get mine to fit snugly. It's not a precision piece. You have to coax it and bend it a little .

I haven't even installed the brackett yet..gotta do it this weekend..ehhee

 

What I meant to say was the heat shield needs bending to get a good fit, not the bracket. The heat shield is flexible, but the bracket is quite stiff.

I bent it slightly and the bracket has a little bit of play in it....and it all just kinda lined up good ....I didnt bend too much...though

i wanna get a intake but don't know what to get a injen or the jwt/ztube ....
which one sounds better? looking for more of a deep sound
and whats with this whistle? does this happen with the injen as well and does it go away or become a problem later on?

The sound of the Popcharger and Z Tube definitly give the car MUCH more of a deep sound over stock, it just makes the G sound straight up mean. The whistle you are refering to is only audible for very short amounts of time and only at certain RPMs.
Personally, I love the whistle and don't want it to go away because I think it makes the car sound very similar to one that's supercharged, which IMO sounds pretty damn good.

 

Well the Injen , so I've read, will give you that same deep sound but it is more of a true Cold air intake....the JWT/Ztube is like a short Ram intake....but it has produced + numbers on the Z on a Dyno....the Injen has also....but either way you get the deep sound...

Mind you its only on open throttle....the whistle is not high pitched and is NOT constant...its just the sucking sound when you open the trottle because now the engine can pull in more air because of the open element air filter....NO future problems at all.....

However if you go Cold Air intake ....depending on where you have to mount it there is a slight risk of taking in water and having to clean it more often because it mounted lower to the ground.

either way ....i'd say get one....its addictive once you do though...be warned!!!....you always wanna hear it!!

The reason why I didnt buy the CAI is because I think the JWT PopCharger is easier to clean than the CAI and being that I'm lazy and **** about my car neing clean this was the best choice for me.
