Mix & Match Exhaust and Y-Pipe

So I'm pretty much set on getting the Fujitsubo exhaust system, but being that the y-pipe costs so much, I was wondering if was possible to match it with a different brand y-pipe? I know that it's more than likely possible, but how do you know if 2 different brands are compatible with each other?

Here's what I'm thinking:

Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust

with

Nismo or Tanabe y-pipe

1. will i have any issues with either combo?
2. how would i have known or where can i check this type of info?

Thanks!

neither should be an issue. all y-pipes are designed to mate up with the mid-pipe. there may be some differences in internal diameter of the collector to the mid-pipe.

good info.

tanabe collctor is 2.75"
fujitsubo is 3.00"

wouldn't make too much sense to get a free flowing y-pipe to only restrict it at the mid-pipe.

Stock will work but not as well as a nismo, JIC or tanabe because these particular y-pipes have 3 inch collectors which will pair up with your fuji nicely.

The Fuji fits nicely with the JIC. I just got the pair and they fit perfectly. All I'm needing are the gaskets, etc. Would you mind telling me how many gaskets (any o rings) came with your fuji?
