Re: K&N Air Filter Install
I probably pass this K&N filter due to its potential hassle. patienctly wait for Nissan's solution (R-spec?) for improving hp. Besides the supposed hp gain from K&N filter, I have to run 100k mile to make it worth the money , buy the time my G35 won't make any difference by 5hp anyway.
Gosh, It's been March, We haven't heard a single word from Nissan yet.

Re: K&N Air Filter Install
that is somewhat true, too much oil on the filter can get on the MAF sensor causing your car to run like crap, but $700 dollars seems a bit too steep. i had that problem with my t-bird, so i took the MAF out and sprayed a little windex on a q-tip and cleaned the sensors very carefully. there was a lot of dirt on the q-tip, put thes MAF back in, and my car ran like new. it cost me $0.00 and 10 minutes.

Hey Gordgee, My B F G W...Good show huh? Hahahaha.
Never knew about using windex on a dirty MAF-- Great tip.
BTW- if anyone is putting on that much oil back on their K&N that it drips off, then that's way too much. Put on just enough to colour and cover the pleats.
