squeeking whistle sound with Injen CAI?

i just installed the Injen CAI and notice this squeeking whistle sound when i accelerate. Is this normal? I re-tight all the clamps and its still sound. Does Injen filter came preoiled?

because it's on your Prelude. The shape and dynamics of the G's intake system creates a whistling sound at the throttle body.

I acquired a whistling noise on my car after I installed a Motordyne 5/16 Copper IsoThermal spacer (Z-tube was already on car). Never had the whistling before.

OMG, I have been reading about the spacer and intake for 3 weeks now and NOW I find out about a whistle? I almost spent $1000 two nights ago for this stuff. Now I am glad I didn't. I want a faster car, but I will not accept a "whistle"

Any audio/video examples out there?

hahaha

It's actually very nice.

You only hear it for a first couple of seconds when accelerating. After that when air being sucked in violently it stops whistling.

This is what all intakes do man. THEY WHISTLE!

The whistling doesn't occur at wide open throttle. It's only at partial throttle and between a narrow rpm range. I would not put off installing an MREV, Spacer, or pop charger because you think it's going to whistle too loud. The extra roar that the spacer and MREV make more than overcome the whistling noise of the throttle body opening.

ok, I think the MREV and spacer w/o the CAI will be fine. I don't want that heat soak phenomenon that I read about elsewhere. I live in Houston...a pretty hot place...
