What size is the piping? Hows the Resonators in them is it restricting? I love the stock exhaust that comes with teh car, i wonder how it would do with the cats removed and a quality header and stock exhaust? O yea and tuning!
And you';d be surprised, i garuntee you, get a header maker to make some headers with right sized primaries and secondaries given the engine specs along with quality merged collectors and it would blow anything that is retail out the water!

And it was an auto! So you can probably pull off more with stick!

These threads suck. If an intake didn't do anything for our cars then the cars would never get any faster. I ran a 13.8 with an exhaust and an air intake and a AFC controled that probably wasn't even tuned.
So if every thread says "exhaust don't do much" and "intakes don't do anything" then how did i run a 13.8 with an exhaust and intake? Sounds like a big difference from the 14.5 when the car was stock.

And to guys who dont know, Trap speed shows a overall increase in Peak power. So for sure this mod did something as his trap increased. Comprende?

As long as your 60ft times were all the same and track conditions similar, and your times changed that much props bro!

Also an exhaust would help, yes stock probably does flow well, but a good header matched with a free flowing exhaust and not cat's will make the most power, along with a tune meaning a ECU or Piggyback that one can tune to ahve more agressive timing and lean you out, which makes even more power on top of the free flowing mods in the headers/exhaust/intake.
Don't be discouraged.
I plan to possibly look into getting some headers made by a local custom header maker.
The question is would other be interested in a high performance piece that can bring the most NA power out of our cars? Probably be around 2grand though, but all quality parts. Slip jointed, SS, nice welds, Merge Collectors, etc.

Good luck with your custom headers....I hope you aren't expecting too much for that kind of money though. Why don't you just go FI and save yourself some grief? Many have done NA builds, especially on my350z.com. I don't think too many spent as much time discussing headers as you have.
Cat-delete x-pipes for the G? Never have seen those. I've seen test pipes going to a y-pipe or TD. Have you crawled under your G yet?

best thing you can do intake wise is get the motordyne 5/16" iso thermal spacer kit. that and a z-tube. Most you'll get out of these engines intake wise. If you have a rev-up (05 w/mt and 06+) get the motordyne MREV2 also.

Search this, there are a zillion threads on it... Start at the intake side: maybe CAI and a plenum spacer is where you will see your greatest first gains and probably the most bang for your buck!

^+1.... Stock exhaust is good for a NA G35. I would recommend putting maybe HFC's.
I would sugest getting a 5/16 ISO Spacer and than maybe a Stillen CAI w/ Z-tube or you can just get a K&N Drop-In w/Z-tube.
