Best mod for N/A ?

Hi guys , i didn't know where to post...
So if this is the wrong forum pls MODS move it =)

Ok mostly who ever mods their G they go for FI.

But practically money is a issue for me.

I just want some tips from you guys that run Modded N/A.

I just started with AEM SRI, Grounding Kit.

My next step is a MD Spacer 5/16".
Then Exhaust system?

I've read in a thread that larger tubes for intake is bad for N/A and good for F/I.

I was just curious about for exhausts. What is the best mod for N/A?
Thinking about performance and deep sound.
Headers? test pipes ? Y pipe? catback?

Btw, I own a 04 G35 Sedan 5AT.

Thanks guys,

Please MOD's if this thread is duplicated please remove and put a link for the old thread =)
couldn't find by myself .

Get the spacer next, best bang for the buck. You will feel the difference in power.

Headers don't get you much more horsepower and cost a lot to get installed. Suggest getting an 05/06 sedan mid-pipe or a coupe mid-pipe and high flow cats with the stock system. I have read that the stock exhaust is designed well for our car and the cats are the most restrictive part.

However, if you want aftermarket exhaust, look at Stillen or Borla.

I was going to get a exhaust, but didn't want droning sound in my sedan. So I am considering just Berk Tech HFC's with the stock exhaust. Also since you have an auto, I have read on here you loose some low end response with either the Stillen or Borla dual exhaust system.
Im planning to go either HKS or Blitz Nur spec.

The HKS axle back?? A lot of people like that muffler because it looks stock, but sounds great.

Get the HKS I know a lot of people with sedan on this forum use it and like it. It will not give you more HP, but it sounds good.

Look at the exhaust compilation post. It also has sound clips.

Long answer:

-Wrap your intake with heat wrap.
-"heat coat" the upper and lower plenum spacer.
-You can still get an MREV2--it will help. From the motordyne website:
"When used with on the non-REVUP engine, the gains are very similar to that of the 5/16" spacer but the MREV 2 Manifold will show a slightly lower peak value, with a slightly higher average value and a slightly higher TQ value. Overall, MREV 2 Manifold provides "area under the curve" and is the highest gain plenum mod available."
-Headers have minimal effect on this engine.
-Hi-flow cats/test pipes may help. (I'm researching these now.)
-A proper flowing and light weight exhaust will make more power and not add to the weight of the car. (I have a borla and am going to ditch it for the motordyne one as soon as I can.)
-"Tune". . .get a Technosquare full reflash and call it a day. (Or get an uprev Osirus. . .) Do you want to do tune it yourself?
-Grounding kits do NOTHING for power. . .but may help in transmission operation. (Only worth it if you have a 5AT).

For all the heat shielding stuff listed above, you're NOT adding any power. You're preventing the engine from pulling timing due to excessive IATs (and/or heated MAF) and reducing power further.

a Z-tube with a K&N filter or JWT Popcharger is good and cheap and just like the spacer you can do it yourself...you can do it before or after the spacer.
