Why give him a mod that's going to reduce power in temps above 70 degrees ambient? If all he cares about is sound then the answer is simple:

1) Z-tube
2) Remove power duct cover and over radiator intake snorkel

That setup will be plenty loud and will suffer from the same amount of heat soak as the any of the hot air intakes like the Injen, Stillen, JWT, or the like. At least with the Z-tube setup, he can go back to a stock airbox configuration and still get the sexy sound of Z-tube without increasing intake temps.

then help me out as to where can i get this z-tube from?

btw with this tube, i have to purchase an intake filter or the stock will work fine? and if you could kinda illustrate what you said in your second step, that would be helpful, thanks

Yea... like everyone stated, there are plenty of resonators on the stock G intake to help muffle the intake sound. Changing the gtube for the ztube will eliminate the larger ones that you can kinda see, and that'll only leave the one resonator daveb mentioned. But since you're leaving the stock intake the way it is, you should still be getting enough cool air through the intake piece connected to the side of the box to not have to worry as much about heatsoak as you would if you had any other short ram intakes.

AFE is the brand of intake i have, its very pricey but i bought it used and didnt even ay half the price. Again on the z-tube, it didnt give me better performance or more sound... If you want him to notice the sound/performance gained, at least sound, get him an aftermarket SRI or CAI.
