Dual Megan racing catback

http://www.meganracing.com/products/...x=8&input.y=15

I had an idea for a while now to buy 2 Megan catbacks and modify the piping on the passanger side going over the rear axle to make it fit. I could move the charcoal canister into the trunk like Tim did. From the catback I would make custom 3" piping all the way up to downpipes.

Anyone here think that it's a good idea?

For $900 + modification/fabrication of pass side you could get a complete true dual cat back. Is there something that is keeping you dead set on the Megan? Sound?

You will end up with a dual 3 inch catback exhaust. This will totally kill your low end. The single 3 inch alone would hurt your low end I can't imagine what two would do. I think you would be better off with a custom or going with a coupe exhaust and making it fit.

Wow, I didn't realize it was a 3" system. +234523451234 to that ^

If you have no plans on going BIG FI then you do not need a true 3" dual exhaust. Leave it to Andrei to put a 3" TD on an NA car though .

3" piping. The only dual option is a Borla which is 2.25" only.

Stillen is also a true dual and ~2.5".

If you are staying N/A or lower boost I would go with dual 2.25".

It will eventually be high boost so I have no reason to spend the money on something that will slow me down later. I am probably going to make a true dual 3" out of another Megan exhaust before the end of next month. Straight 3" piping all the way to the headers with no cats. Later when I FI the car I'll make a v pipe from the turbo downpipe to split the exhaust.

You have a PM.

Is this confirmed? Just wondering because I just measured the diameter on my Stillen exhaust and it's 2.25"

Some of the exhaust parts came in yesterday and today. Still waiting on everything else.

I have laser cut ss flanges cut to fit 3" 16 gauge ss piping, gaskets, hangers and o2 sensor bungs and plugs.

Does anybody know where I can find the flange bolts from the Megan exhaust?

Does anyone know where I can find these exact bolts from the Megan exhaust? I guess I'll just call Megan.

Fuel hoses came today of different sizes because I was lazy to measure what I needed exactly and 14 gauge Stinger wire to relocated the EVAP canister in the trunk. I'm still looking for the heat shield above the muffler.

This is just a stepping stone and it is a lot of work and FUN but the benefits to me are more than worth it.
