Test pipes will be cheaper but louder and prone to rasp. Hi-flow cats will be more expensive and generally sound better. You "should" make more HP with test pipes but with an NA motor you may not even notice a difference. Also, your exhaust will smell with test pipes.

Check out the XYZ pipe from Motordyne, it's modular so you can switch out as necessary.

Just go with high flow cats over a test pipe if those are your two options.

i would say keep it factory theres no point in putting that garbage on your car unless your pushing some serious power (forced induction) that motor was designed with those cats in mind just my .02

If yours are burned out already knock all the rest of the crap out of them with a large screwdriver and a mallet and reinstall. cost zero & problem solved.

The real question is why are they burned out. Stock cats can usually take quite a few miles unless something is wrong with your engine tuning.

Your cats are not "burned out". If they were failing, usually a brick comes loose, they'd be covered under the emissions equipment warranty which I believe is good for 9 years/90K miles.

I like test pipes. They make good gains.

With the XYZ pipe, you can still use test pipes and hook up the XYZ catalytic converter.

It will give you better gains than regular HFC's.
