This exhaust is extremely quiet! (2.5" version) I read all these reviews and I put it on and I'm like...what? I'm thinking I should have gone the HKS route.

I'm guessing I should try test pipes with it before I dump it all together.

Most of my friends can't even tell I changed exhaust besides the deeper tone. Whoever coined the phrase 'stock exhaust on steroids' is wrong. Its just a different tone of stock exhaust in my opinion. Awesome quality, just not what I was looking for.

 

I would suggest HFC's over Test pipes unless you want rasp.

 

Go with test pipes and exhaust will sound a lot louder.

 

That's what I noticed, all the sound clips were of G35s with testpipes or
HFCs. Another reason why I chose HKS, I wanted a GROOOWWELL!

I have Kinetix 300 Cell HFC's with HKS exhaust....IMO probably the best sounding exhaust.

 

Get the HFC and trust you me your friends will be impressed!

 

exhaust note is all subjective. 10 people will give you 10 different opinions on the same exhaust system.

 

I'm running Kinetix HFC with Fast Intentions, I guess you have your opinion and I have mine. I went from an Apexi N1 to a Invidia G200, then now F.I. and I can say it's my favorite. I heard HKS and X02 too many times and I'm sick of it haha, the F.I is like the stock on steroids, and very smooth and clean.

 

Get the Fast Intentions resonated test pipes that will make it louder with little rasp

 

i got the FI exhaust too and when I installed it a year ago I got the exact same impression. I thought it was too quiet and no one even knew I had one installed.

I recently got the FI resonated test pipes and it made a huge difference. Very loud, sounds great, no rasp, and i don't notice the smell.

 

get some test pipes and you wont be complaning about not loud enough anymore

 

I had FI testpipes and they smell like unburnt fuel...I used to sketch whenever a cop would get behind me.

 

Resonated Test pipes should fix that "issue". Anyone within 2 city blocks knows I don't have anything close to the stock exhaust
