Borla Exhaust on an AWD

I am thinking about a new exhaust for my 05 g35x. I love the true dual exhausts of Stillen and Borla but I have heard that for some reason that the Borla will not fit due to the awd trans case. Is this true and what if anything would I have to do in order for it to work?

Borla won't fit, a friend of mine had to custom fit it for his AWD G35X to work with Borla Exhaust.

while it may be made to fit/sound/look great, the question you may want to ask is at was cost? having a custom exhaust be "made" to fit an application it wasn't designed for is going to mean more bends and greater restriction, meaning less power. if sound or bragging rights is all you care about though...

Considering what few gains are made with aftermarket exhaust anyway it really doesn't matter if theres an extra bend in there. Unless you're seriously looking at forced induction then don't worry your silly little head about it.
