coupe midpipe issues

i had a coupe midpipe put on my sedan today and it fits fine except the midpipe hits that little metal support bracket under the car. Is this normal, there didnt seem any other way to have it. Also will this cause a little rattle sound sometimes?
thanks

mine was a direct swap - no rattles or rubbing on any brackets

get under the car take your hand and push the heat shield away from the resonator on the mid pipe. It will solve the rattle. Very easy to bend. I did it when I installed mine a year ago and haven't had a rattle problem at all

Just tap the heat shield up with a rubber mallet or your hand (on a cool car), just enough to provide clearance, but not so much to hit the drive shaft.

Simple, you should not have any other problems with rattling.

Yup. I responded in your post in the exhaust/intake thread. Just use your hand. Very easy to bend thin metal. Very normal for this to happen. Just bend it out of the way a bit and problems will be solved

The heat shield is a piece of metal that is right aboce the resonator ont he mid pipe. it protects the drive shaft and prevents heat. The heat shield/drive shaft guard is rattling against the coupe mid pipe resonator

I know what your talking about, it's for the drive shaft, if it ever falls down. It's supposed to hold it up. the mis pipe will bang on it once in a while.

I took the backet off, all it does is catch the big piece of the car if it was ever to fall off but ive never heard of that happening. Do you guys think it was okay to take that piece off?
thanks
