Debating headers with other mods

I've been debating headers for awhile and I did some reading about mixed thoughts and feelings on the headers and gain/loss of power.

Mods are listed in my signature, I'm just asking around to see what I could expect if I were to install them, and if people have a recommendation on which brand to go with. I dont track the car, but I figure I've modified everything else so far that I might as well finish it off. I'm curious as to what gain or loss I could see using it as a daily driver or getting around town. I am planning to tune it come next spring, and I have some friends that will help with the install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm afraid that my car will get louder yet, and I might have to change my HFC out. I'm not interested in going FI either, I'm keeping this a NA build.

If anyone is wondering about the setup or clips, I have quite a few posted here

Thanks

stay away from headers i just bought the dc headers and am in the middle of installing them as we speak. so far its taken 18 hours and i only have the driver side done and still have to remove the stock exhaust manifold from the passenger side. if you dont have the money for a professional install dont bother its not gunna be worth the agony.

LOL terrible story homie.

If you don't have the proper equipment to install yourself it's totally not worth it. Not only that, but for the dollar amount for the part alone, I wouldn't bother.

I'd either:
(A) Put the money in savings for FI

OR

(B) Get a proper tune such as UpRev's Osiris and make a ****-ton more power for less buck

Yea, thats what my friend has been saying...its prolly gonna be the one thing that I dont change with the Exhaust system. I'm thinking of changing out my kinetix Cats for Berks, so if anyone is interested in getting some used Kinetix lemme know Idk if they are worth trading or not...prolly 15k miles on them, maybe 18kish

If you like your car loud and you dont mind paying $650 for a tune, I say they are worth it.
My setup:

Fujita intake--->MD 1/2" spacer--->DC headers--->FI test pipes--->HKS exhaust

it sounds like a race car and has plenty of midrange pull for a NA car

Have fun... my friend installed my headers for me and he said it took two of them just about a full day to install them. The sad thing is that they didn't even make power...

Well i agree with you that it deffinately takes two people and it was an over night project for me and my friend but as for you cant tell it makes power...then you either got some cheap a$$ headers or you dont pay attention to you car when you drive.

I have DC headers, and my friend has a dyno in his shop... before and after numbers aren't different enough for there to be any real gains. The headers did smooth everything out a bit after retuning, but that's about it. Maybe I have too many mods to see much of a difference, or your butt dyno is off.

I love my headers, got a set of Nismo and it gave the car a nice deep sound.

but words of warning, DO NOT install these yourself, pay someone to do it or else you will want to kill yourself.

you might want to get a tune, it is a must once you get headers. atleast if you want to realize the gains.

When was your car there? I'm usually there a lot...
