Question Think I'll be chopping my STILLEN exhaust

So I have been adding new things to my coupe since I bought it back in '03. One of the first purchases was my STILLEN dual exhaust. I was so excited about it that I installed it myself the day I got it home. A couple of the clamps started loosening and I took it to Midas (local shop) and they ended up welding it all together. No prblems until I had started changing other crucial parts on the car, e.g.- second motor, 4 tranny's and so on. With the thing being fully welded, the whole exhaust system has to be removed in one piece . It looked amazing when Street Image had replaced my tranny and I watched them do it. So now I have bought the GT Spec under body braces. I had them all installed at a new local technician here in Temecula/Murrieta called ACR. They didn't do as good a job as I was expecting, but that is another story. They did not install the center ladder brace and said that the frame appeared to be bent and they could not install the ladder brace. When I took the car home (nephew drove), and I checked everything, I saw no bent areas at the frame of the car (they said they could not get the bolt on). Now I was taking a look at doing the install myself and realized that my dual exhaust hangs a little low for the ladder brace to be installed. SInce it's all welded, I see no way of getting that thing in there with out cutting it up and out. Then I'll need to get a new exhaust system, which I'll have to talk my wife into spending the money for a good new dual exhaust (unless somebody has one to sell for not too much ). If anyone has any good seggestions, please let me know and sorry for the long post.

Later,

Ray

Why not cut it in half and weld flanges into the cut area?
This will allow you to take it out, put it back in, and all for less than ~$60.
