Backpressure is never beneficial.

It is however beneficial to reduce backpressure, optimize pipe diameters / lengths for optimized scavenging.

Back pressure just make it feel like you got power cause its lil restricting...but no.

It's hard to say when your statement is incorrect.

How much power would you have with 100% backpressure?

People need to get off the notion of "backpressure". It's exhaust gas velocity.

So your question is "would you lose much EXV with HFCs to the point where you lose HP? (in various rpm ranges).

Answer: I haven't seen any evidence of this. But HFCs can increase flow to the point where you might run lean. THAT might cause a hp loss due to running at a less than optimal A/F ratio.

Here is a question for you. If the "back pressure" was zero but exhaust gas velocities remained higher at all rpm ranges, would you be gaining or losing hp?

Always a good learning experience to read* the back pressure after cats to see how good oem system really is.

* at peak HP rpm under street load expecially extended [hot] since things change as they heat up.
