Skunk2 plenum spacer + Nismo muffler

Hi Guys,

2 quick questions:

1) Any idea why the Skunk2 web site says that their plenum spacer works only on the 2003-2005 G35? As far as I can tell, it will work on any RWD VQ35DE? Anyone with an '06 or '07 G35 running one?

2) I'm thinking of picking up a Nismo muffler (from a Nismo 350Z). I know it won't do much (if anything for power), but want a little more sound. Since it's just the rear section, it should bolt right up. A buddy of mine says that the tips will need to be extended. Is he on crack? I've never heard of this before.

Thanks,
SVH

Possibly for the same reason the MD plenum spacer doesn't work on the REVUP lower plenum either.

On a REVUP engine, the MREV2 is a prerequisite to the plenum spacer if the spacer is to have any effect.

I guess it took Skunk a little while to figure it out.

Although your friend might actually be on crack he is right about the tips needing to be extended. The tips will be tucked under your bumper if you don't. Most people extend them about 2" to get the OEM G35 look.
