Short-Ram Intake Owners... READ!

Well, nothing that important, I really just wanted some insight from people who are using various short-ram intakes (ie Z-tube/Popcharger, etc) - When you removed the stock air box, did you also remove the plastic piece in front of the radiator shroud that looks like it funnels air into that area? The reason I am asking is because I have a CF 350Z engine cover and it is a really tight fit between itself and that "duct" (if that's what you call it) - I would like to remove it and show off the engine cover more (since I paid $$$ for it), but at the same time, I don't want to remove that duct if it actually assists in funnelling air towards the filter... any insight/comments/opinions/resolutions would be greatly appreciated!

I recommend you leave the "Air Duct (inlet)" in place.
